Efficiency of any kind of heat transfer tubes drops when deposits collecting around the tubes. Periodic cleaning is very important in energy conservation and efficiency.
A power unit connects to a flexible shaft, which is available in different lengths and
diameters to fit the size of the tube to be cleaned. The flexible shaft is then attached
with brushes or cutters, depending on the scale hardness, tube material and tube angle.
When the power unit is turned on, the shaft rotates and cleans out deposits.
Power units are either electric or air powered. Both are designed in water-proof construction,
rigidly built to withstand harsh conditions.
Flexible shafts comes in two variety as well, in Nylon casing or Galvanized steel. Nylon casing flexible
shafts are water-proof, it can be connected to water to provide better cleaning by flusing deposits out of the
end tube. Galvanized steel flexible shafts in contrast is not water-proof, it is designed for heavy duty application.
Brushes and cutters comes in a variety of sizes to suit different pipe inner diameter. Selection is based on scale
hardness, tube material, tube curves and tube sizes.
